Project Description
Architectural design at historic Grade One Listed Buckden Towers – a site of National Importance
Headley Stokes are proud of their historic association with Buckden Towers over a number of years with our work for the Catholic Claretian Missionaries.
The site has a history spanning over 900 years for much of that time being Buckden Palace the home to the Bishops of Lincoln.
More recently Headley Stokes gained planning permission to convert a Victorian stable block into self-contained flats for the Claretian Missionaries. This involved extensive dialogue with both English Heritage and Conservation Officers as the stable block is adjoining a Grade One Listed Building and Ancient Monument.
We are proud to be contributing to preserving probably the most important complex of historic buildings in Huntingdonshire.
