Stunning extension to Victorian former windmill at Great Gidding, Cambridgeshire.
The original Grade 2 Listed Victorian windmill was partly converted and extended in an unsympathetic manner in 1975. Our brief was to replace the existing extension with a larger more complimentary structure and replan the internal areas to the cylindrical windmill. Finally we added a stunning new roof and viewing platform to the top of the windmill.
Our sensitive and well detailed design succeeding in winning over the local Conservation Officer to provide our client with this unique home.
